The program officer and sponsorship coordinator had the opportunity to attend the annual NGO conference held at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) on 5^th and 6^th June. This was an experience that proved to be very significant for the organization as the two officers were able to engage, create networks and partnerships with different organizations that complimented the work done by Yatima Outreach. The event brought together NGOs all over Kenya and beyond as well as key sector stakeholders under the Umbrella of the NGO coordination’s board in Kenya to engage, network and learn from each other through trade fairs and exhibitions. Different NGO’s both international and local show cased their initiatives and innovative solutions to social transformation, peace and justice to the most vulnerable groups they work with. This kind of gathering was essential for Yatima as it gave room to connect with like-minded organizations and individuals who share the organization’s passion to making a difference in the communities served. Yatima is grateful for the opportunity to attend the event and will continue to seek out on similar opportunities to expand its networks and partnerships.
