The Corporate Office

Yatima Outreach Organization’s management structure is led by a Board of Directors, whose primary mandate is to provide oversight and strategic direction for the organization’s operations. The Board consists of eight members, including the Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary-CEO, and three additional board members. On a day-to-day basis, the Country Director oversees the organization’s operations and is directly responsible and accountable to the Board of Directors.
The corporate office, headed by the Country Director, serves as the coordinating body for all Yatima Outreach programs across Kenya.

Country Director

The Country Director is charged with the overall responsibility of overseeing, directing and controlling all the operations of various projects and programs of Yatima Outreach Organization. He is also the secretary of Yatima Outreach Organization Board of Directors (B.O.D) .

Sophy Okeyo

Project Officer

The project officer manages the parameters of scope, time and cost to meet the project objectives. This is done in liason with the project managers and administrators in the operation areas .The P.O also coordinates the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) component of the organization to ensure that there is effective and efficient service delivery across all the programs to attain maximum impact.

Sponsorship Officer

The Sponsorship Officer is responsible for the overall management of the sponsorship program. He is also mandated to oversight administrative support for children's profiles across all the programs in line with the mission, vision, and strategic objectives of the organization.

Carren Jumba

Communications Coordinator

The Communication Coordinator’s role is to ensure the work of the Communication Department is managed efficiently and effectively. She is also responsible for increasing the organization’s visibility by creating relevant content and ensuring consistent updates across all organizational digital and offline media platforms.

Finance Officer

The finance officer is responsible for timely budget approvals to neccessitate disbursement of funds to the respective centers for project activity implementation. She is also responsible for procurement work and financial control to enhance proper financial accountability in all the centers.

Sponsorship Coordinator

The Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for executing day-to-day sponsorship program activities as well as provide administrative support to ensure smooth profile information management across all Y.O projects.

Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator ensures programme targets are met within scope, time, and cost constraints while maintaining high standards for records and data integrity. She is also involved in Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E) which is achieved through data collection, developing M&E plans, and generating progress reports. The project Assistant is also involved in proposal writing, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and maintaining excellent communication with clients, staff, and partners.

The Communication Assistant is responsible for documentation of project activities which include success stories, human-interest stories,  videos and photos which are posted on the Organization's social media platforms for marketing purposes. She is also responsible for drafting and editing publication materials such as newsletters and annual reports.

Head Social-Worker

The Head Social Worker at the Mathare center is responsible for several tasks, including preparing all project reports, ensuring psychological support is available for pupils, and caregivers, and is carried out effectively and in a timely manner. She provides capacity building for caregivers through financial literacy training, ensuring their active participation in the economic empowerment project. She is also responsible for procuring feeding supplies and managing the inventory in stores. She supervises the Social Workers’ delivery for quality service and collect program data for monitoring and evaluation.

Project Manager

The Project Manager’s role is to act as a liaison person with the corporate office in the implementation of both strategic and operational objectives of the project on the ground. The manager provides leadership and managerial skills among staff by overseeing all the operations that are undertaken at the center namely, Education, Social work, health services, and agricultural activities by giving equal opportunity to all children with the hope of transforming their future.

Clinical Officer

The clinical officer is responsible for the overall management of the health department. He is also mandated to offer medical services to patients as well as coordinate referrals and follow-up where necessary.

Lukas Wabwile

Head Social-Worker

The head social worker supervises a team of social workers at the project center. Together, they Conceptualize Social Work Practices with a focus on Orphan and Vulnerable Children Holistic support, addressing Nutritional support through feeding, Psychosocial Support, Child Protection, WASH, Graduates, Postgraduates Programs, Sponsors Letter Response, Caregivers, Background checks through Home Visits and School Visits. She is also responsible for recruiting needy children into the program.

Accountant

She is responsible for gathering all revenue sources, ensuring accuracy in financial records, preparing detailed income reports on a regular basis.Her role is also to monitor deductions such as taxes and social security contributions and maintaining compliance of the centre with legal requirements.

Cynthia Okonji

Accountant

Managing the finances of the project. Responsible for compiling budgets, expense tracking, financial reporting and ensuring compliance with the government and donor requirement policies.
