A Historic Milestone: Our First Postgraduate Graduate

In 2024, Yatima Outreach reached a historic milestone as our first-ever postgraduate student, Elvice Ouma, graduated from the University of Nairobi. This moment marked the culmination of a transformative journey that began over a decade ago when Elvice joined our program in primary school. Elvice enrolled at Patmos Cottage School for fifth grade in 2011. By 2014, he excelled in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams, achieving an impressive score that earned him admission to Gendia Boys High School. Throughout high school, Elvice remained steadfast in his pursuit of academic excellence, motivated by a vision to uplift his family through education.

In 2019, Elvice sat for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams and achieved an exceptional B+ grade, securing 70 out of 82 points. This remarkable performance paved the way for him to fulfill his dream of attending The University of Nairobi, where he completed his postgraduate studies in 2024. This achievement embodies the transformative power of education and the impact of consistent support from a caring community. It reflects the resilience and determination of Elvice and underscores the vital role of our donors, staff, and partners who have been unwavering in their commitment to nurturing potential.

This milestone reinforces our mission to create pathways for brighter futures as an organization.
Elviceā€™s story serves as an inspiration to countless children in our programs, proving that with dedication and support, dreams can become reality. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to
Elvice on this monumental achievement. We are confident he will continue to make a meaningful
impact in the world, carrying with him the values of excellence and service that he has exemplified throughout his journey.
