Yatima Outreach Organization held its annual team building activity on the 1 st December and 2 nd December 2022. It brought together Yatima Outreach employees from all its centers within and outside Nairobi. The team building started with a presentation by the director on Sustainable performance. He highlighted 3 key points namely equitability, meaningfulness and validity that will ensure sustainability in employee performance.

The 2nd day of the event saw employees participate in different fun activities to help them see each other in a different light and allow them to connect in a different setting. The 2 day event came to an end by the organization recognizing best performed departments, programs and overall employee of the year. ACK Madeleine center scooped 3 awards, its education department winning the department of the year while Naisoya Integrated Community center won program of the year award. Patmos was also not left behind as its education department scooped the First runners up award.

Ms. Linda Wekesa received the most improved employee of the year 2022 while Mr. Elijah Wekesa won the first runners up employee of the year award. Peter Akolongo from Patmos School scooped the Employee of the year 2022 award.

The purpose of the team building activity was to motivate employees to keep working together, have increased communication, have good planning skills, develop their strengths, encourage collaboration rather than competition and address any weaknesses among others.
